Real Work. Real Change

CaringRaiseFoundationIndia was initiated in 2002 when a group of friends came together with the intention of giving back to society. They were deeply inspired by the thought and philosophy of Peter Senge, founder of the Society for Organizational Learning, who emphasized that “sustainability, social equality, and the environment are now business problems,” and that corporate leaders cannot rely solely on governments to solve them.

This idea gained momentum in the wake of India’s economic liberalisation in the 1990s. As the economy opened up, it brought a wave of growth, global investment, and prosperity, especially for the urban middle class. For the first time, many professionals found themselves with stable incomes and secure futures, enabling them to look beyond personal needs and consider contributing to societal development.

This socio-economic shift created a fertile ground for socially conscious initiatives. Motivated by a strong desire to bridge the growing inequalities and to channel their success into meaningful change, the founders of CaringRaiseFoundationIndia set out to build a platform that would focus on education, health, and livelihood for underprivileged communities. What began as a shared passion among a few individuals has since grown into a nationwide movement dedicated to empowering the most vulnerable sections of society and driving sustainable, inclusive development.

PHILOSOPHY OF CHANGE THE LIFECYCLE

At CaringRaiseFoundationIndia, the core belief is that real and lasting change begins at the grassroots. The foundation operates with the understanding that empowering individuals—especially children, women, and youth—with education, healthcare, and livelihood opportunities can create a ripple effect of positive transformation across entire communities. The philosophy of change is rooted in dignity, equity, and sustainability, ensuring that development is not just about aid, but about building capacities and fostering self-reliance. Change, according to the foundation, is not a one-time act but a continuous journey that requires community participation, policy alignment, and long-term commitment.
